Another Tour Win for Oban Kiyoshi Premium Shafts – Again proving the Kiyoshi Purple is the best high-launch low-spin shaft on the market

The excitement continues with another big win on the PGA Tour for OBAN.   The winner of the Tampa Bay Championship, played last week on the PGA Tour, used 2 OBAN Kiyoshi Purple shafts en route to a final round of 67 and won by 2 strokes.  It was his first career win on the PGA Tour.

The Tampa Bay Championship winner relied on the Kiyoshi Purple 65 gram X flex in his Ping G20 driver and the Kiyoshi Purple 85 gram X flex in his Ping G25 fairway wood.

“We are really excited the champions first career win came with the help of two OBAN Kiyoshi Purple shafts.   His precision off the tee and longer distance proved to play an integral part for the win,” said Rich Parzych, PGA Tour Representative for OBAN.  “This is the second win on the PGA Tour this year and 4th win worldwide for OBAN in 2013.  In addition, it’s the second time the winner used more than one Kiyoshi in his bag to capture the championship on the PGA Tour.”

About Andrew Hodson

I am the youngest with in a golfing family which has spanned three generations. My grandfather started the tradition in England (Bert Hodson-1931 Ryder Cup Team) and has since passed on his knowledge and love of the game. Although I did not follow in the steps of my father and grandfather on a professional golfing level, my love of the game and commitment to accurately fit equipment has only grown. Even as a kid I enjoyed re-gripping clubs which eventually led to refinishing wood heads, re-shafting, and now has culminated in more detailed custom club fitting, building, and repair.
