New Graphite Design Tour AD M9003 – The Spin Killer

I’m excited to see that GD has brought this baby to our shores which which had been a Japanese tour exclusive. I would have to say this is probably the industry leading low launch & low spin shaft in its weight category (most high end shafts of 50+ ton are typically in the mid 70 gram weight). The end result is unparalleled feel and response (most low launch and low spin shafts can feel like your hitting a 2×4) while achieving that sought after piercing ball flight!

This shaft is modeled after the currently inline Tour AD 9003 series of shafts that have been in the line for many years.   The Tour AD 9003 family consists of very stiff profiles designed for fast tempo/high swing speed players and are designed to promote Low to Mid launch condition and very low spin.

 

The new Tour AD M9003 model incorporates a new material technology from Toray Composites called T1100G.  The T1100G is a revolutionary material in that it is comprised of both High Modulus and High Tensile strength fibers.  The resin system is also based on the Toray NANOALLOY technology for added durability.  Here is a news links for more information about the new T1100G material.

New for 2015, Graphite Design introduces the newest addition to the Tour AD premium line of golf shafts, the Tour AD M9003. Designed and manufactured at the Graphite Design Japan factory headquarters, the new Tour AD M9003 wood shaft is available in 68g S and X flex and 78g S and X flex.

About Andrew Hodson

I am the youngest with in a golfing family which has spanned three generations. My grandfather started the tradition in England (Bert Hodson-1931 Ryder Cup Team) and has since passed on his knowledge and love of the game. Although I did not follow in the steps of my father and grandfather on a professional golfing level, my love of the game and commitment to accurately fit equipment has only grown. Even as a kid I enjoyed re-gripping clubs which eventually led to refinishing wood heads, re-shafting, and now has culminated in more detailed custom club fitting, building, and repair.
