Hodson Golf named Mizuno Top 100 Fitter for 2017!

We are extremely proud to have been designated as a Mizuno Top 100 Fitter in the United States again for 2017. We look forward to a great 2018 showcasing this incredible lineup of premium Japanese engineered clubs.

About Andrew Hodson

I am the youngest with in a golfing family which has spanned three generations. My grandfather started the tradition in England (Bert Hodson-1931 Ryder Cup Team) and has since passed on his knowledge and love of the game. Although I did not follow in the steps of my father and grandfather on a professional golfing level, my love of the game and commitment to accurately fit equipment has only grown. Even as a kid I enjoyed re-gripping clubs which eventually led to refinishing wood heads, re-shafting, and now has culminated in more detailed custom club fitting, building, and repair.

Fujikura Pro 2.0 Now Available at Hodson Golf

We are excited to get the new Pro Series 2.0 from Fujikura. We have done incredibly well over the years with the original Fujikura Pro lineup which featured a great array of quality performance shafts at more affordable pricing than most of the higher-end Japanese shaft offerings. This new line will feature several shafts geared towards reaching that optimal “high launch, low spin” characteristics found only in the higher priced, higher pre-preg tonnage shafts that are really only produced in Japan. Here is some additional info from Fuji.

The PRO Series is Fujikura’s most popular, playable and easy-to-fit line of performance shafts. New for 2018, using proprietary enso® technology, the PRO 2.0 features a lower loading section to increase launch, lower torque to reduce spin and a bold, modernized design to turn heads. It’s ideal for golfers of all skill levels, and available in Tour Spec for more aggressive swing tempos to deliver lower ball flight and spin

2018 Hot List Released – We couldn’t agree more!

As all you gearheads know,  the 2018 Hot List has been released – and we couldn’t agree more. As all of our loyal customers know, when you come for a fitting at Hodson Golf we give you an honest unbiased fitting and we do not push any particular brand or product. During your fitting here at Hodson Golf we simply compare the various brand/head/shaft combinations (based on your determined individual specifications) and let the numbers (doppler radar launch monitor) speak for themselves. In going over our sale data, our equipment sales tie almost directly into the best/gold clubs in each category.

New Graphite Design Chichibu Premium Japanese Shafts now Available at Hodson Golf (pronounced Chi-Chi-Chi-Ch$ng)

Brand new for 2018, Graphite Design introduces a completely new ultra-light weight premium wood shaft design, the Graphite Design Chichibu series. Named after the city of Chichibu, Japan where the Graphite Design Japan factory headquarters is located, the Chichibu wood shaft model is a light weight shaft under 45 grams and are available in 4 flexes of R (Regular), SR (Stiff Regular), S (Stiff) and S+ (Stiff Plus) for precise shaft flex fitting in order to gain maximum distance.

The Graphite Design Chichibu series of wood shafts are designed for golfers with a driver swing speed range of 60 to 85 MPH. Individually hand-crafted to very tight tolerances, the Chichibu shafts use premium, ultra-thin aerospace quality carbon-fiber materials to obtain a light weight characteristic, as well as to provide the golfer with a shaft that possesses superior response and feedback at impact.

The Chichibu series of shafts are a fine example of an extremely high quality and superior performing golf shaft, made in Japan and that follow in line with the 25+ years of heritage that all of the premium Graphite Design shafts are so well known for.
