As one of the original dealers for Aerotech, I can honestly say they have been my go to premium graphite iron shafts since they were introduced. These shafts are a must for anyone looking to transition out of steel but not quite ready for most of the unstable lightweight graphite shaft products currently out there. Don’t take my word for it though, just check out there website to see how many tour players (on all tours) are using them (non-contractually I might add). Here is a great article recently from GolfWrx. Aerotech has also released a couple of new iron shafts for the golfer looking for that higher launch/lower spin with added stability which is tough (if not impossible) to find in most high launch graphite iron shafts
Congratulations to Keith Mitchell who won his first PGA Tour event this weekend at the Honda Classic while also recording a first tour win for Mizuno’s hot low-spinning ST190 driver. Personally I love the fact that less than half the players listed below who use Mizuno Irons aren’t even contracted to play them!
Tourney Stats & what’s in the bag
Mitchell, with a set of MP-18 irons, was one of four Mizuno iron players to hold the lead on the final day at PGA National.
Mitchell, Lucas Glover, Adam Schenk and Jhonnaton Vegas were all featured on the leaderboard at PGA National – with 4 of the final top 6 finishers playing Mizuno irons on the day.

The new Epic Flash is killing it so we encourage all of our loyal customers to Flash Forward for the spring. Our own launch monitor data supports what is going on now on all tours – Higher ball speed, tighter dispersion, more distance.
From Callaway Tour Staff:
PGA Tour: We were the #1 Driver at the Genesis Open. Our Tour Reps have told us that players are impressed by the ball speed gains and tighter dispersion that they’re seeing in testing and inside the ropes. Callaway already have more wins on the PGA Tour than any other brand so far in 2019.
LPGA Tour: Callaway had 62 total drivers in play (over 43.% of the field) – and over 85% of those drivers were played by non-staffers who use Callaway based solely on performance. We’ve continued to be the #1 driver brand by a wide margin on the LPGA, and 2019 looks like it’s going to be even stronger.
European Tour: We already have more European Tour wins than any other brand so far this year. We also had 38 Epic Flash models in play at last week’s event.
Champions Tour: Callaway was once again the #1 Driver Brand last week.
The new Epic Flash Drivers are led by Flash Face, which we designed using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to deliver significant ball speed gains for all golfers, including the best players in the game.
*Based on total number of uses across the PGA, European, Champions and LPGA Tours in 2019 according to the Darrel Survey.
For all of you hard hitting spinny guys out there who have been on the never ending hunt trying to find a shaft that will cut down on the spin (but doesn’t feel like your swinging a piece of rebar) – LOOK NO FURTHER THAN THE NEW ACCRA TZ5 & TZ6 TOUR LINE SHAFT SERIES. Accra has always been synonymous in the “gearhead” world (and especially on tour) for producing some of the best quality high-modulus carbon graphite shafts in the business. Accra has taken all their years of advancements (I’ve actually had the pleasure to meet Simon who invented the S3 shaft mapping machine) to now offer to the general public (through charter dealers only-i.e Hodson Golf) this unique and game changing shaft series. Contact us now to test run these bad boys on the launch monitor and see for yourself the results.
per Gawain Robertson, co-owner and founder of PGMC/Accra:
“In the softer flexes, the TZ6 is for the person that needs some help getting the ball in the air, but as you get to stiffer flexes, the torque starts dropping and it becomes more of a players shaft.”
“So it sort of transitions from a shaft that helps the average guy get the ball in the air to a shaft that helps a tour guy get the ball in the air with low spin.”
