So my awesome Adams sales rep just took me out to Mekong for lunch to go over the new Adams Line. Apparently the number one question that everyone seems to ask Adams Golf is “What hybrid do they use the most on tour”? Well, I can tell you that Adams has always has a pretty deep lineup on most tours when you factor in the great designs over the past years, the exceptional current designs, and then the elusive prototypes that are out there to herald in the next generation. In order to help keep things simple the Adams Hybrid family will be known in 2014 as the Pro Series. Only subtle changes to the current lineup as follows;
Adams Pro – Similar to the V-4 hybrid but w/ cleaner lines & shaping and black in color.
Adams Pro-Mini – Similar to the 9031 (but black in color) with cleaner lines & shaping.
Adams Pro-DHY – Pretty much the same as the Super DHY with a bit more forgiveness and compliments the growing trend towards the driving iron vs hybrid.
On a good note, Taylor Made (parent of Adams Golf) will allow it’s tour players to phase in Adams equipment (in hybrids & fairway) which most have been asking for. You will see a greater presence on tour and on television this year, as Adams goal is to “own the second shot” . Hope to have some of these heads in the coming weeks – will keep you posted.
