So I met with my Titleist rep yesterday and I’m excited to hear that I should have the new 915 line of heads in hand w/in the next 10 days. As most everyone knows Titleist is a very high caliber line typically associated/aligned with the private country club sector. The fact is there are not many (0 in our area) top-notch facilities that offer the full line of Titleist product to the general public. Hodson Golf will not only be fitting/offering the full line, but will also carry the largest array of special/upgrade/tour-issue shafts OF ANYONE (Big Box or Elite Private).

As most of our customers know I am a huge fan and supporter of the new/modern club design incorporating the slot technology and/or floating face. Adams pushed the boundaries on this technology which ultimately led to their current state (purchased by Taylor Made obviously for their patents). Feel free to check my past posts and you will see that I’ve always felt this technology would be the future of golf equipment, and looks like Titleist agrees. The 915 line has an especially deep “active recoil channel” which can only promote a faster ball speed off the “Radial Speed Face” but also promotes the higher launch with lower spin.  Titleist is touting the driver as their lowest spinning, which coupled with the ideal shaft can only produce longer, more penetrating drives with added roll. Again, please check my past posts and when it comes to drivers the “holy grail” is to design one that has a hot face (highest ball speed), low-spinning, and forgiving (High MOI Design). I think Titleist just may have nailed all 3!
